Best Buy Pulls Analog TVs Off the Shelves

As a further indication that analog TV is on its way out and digital is in, Best Buy has announced that they have pulled all of the analog TVs they had left off of the store shelves.  Just about two months ago at my local Best Buy, they still had a small portion of one aisle dedicated to the analog TVs while flat panel and high definition screens took over aisle upon aisle of space.

Hackers do Apple’s Job, Again

I think Apple needs to start taking some of their cues from hackers because they are truly demonstrating what the masses want. When the iPhone was originally released hackers were forced to find a way to get real third-party applications onto the device, and it didn't take long for that to happen. Now Apple is trying to make amends by releasing a true SDK in February for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Apple has made iPhone and iPod Touch users extremely happy today by announcing the forthcoming Software Development Kit (SDK). In February developers will be able to get their hands on the SDK which will let them create true third-party applications without needing any hacks!

Mac Office 2008 Download Leaked

Microsoft's Mac Office 2008 won't be released until sometime in January, but those of you who are eager to get your hands on it don't have to wait much longer. File sharing sites have already started to distribute a 465MB download of the Beta version to anyone that wants it, and accompanying the download is a working serial number.

Apple Drops iTunes Plus Prices to 99 Cents!

Oh the benefits of competition are a sweet thing, really! It took Apple approximately three weeks to respond to the launch of Amazon's DRM-Free Music Store. It was a simple as this- Amazon started selling DRM-free songs for 89 cents to a maximum of 99 cents while Apple's iTunes was selling DRM-free songs for $1.29.

CyberNotes: Get Netscape’s Best Features in Firefox

The other day Netscape took the plunge and provided a completely reworked version of their browser. The new Netscape 9 is based on the Firefox 2 browser, and therefore has some really nice features such as inline spell checking.
