Gmail IMAP Support is Here!

Google has just started rolling out one of the most requested Gmail features: IMAP support! Much like POP3 access this will let you retrieve your email in third-party email clients such as Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook, but it has distinct advantages over POP3.

One of the things that annoys me the most in Windows is the system beep. It's loud and often happens at the most inopportune times, like during a meeting or a class. All heads turn towards you as people wonder what idiot would have the sound turned on.

Mozilla Brings in $66.8 Million for 2006

Mozilla was rolling in the green last year when they announced their 2005 revenue of $52.9 million, but in 2006 they were up 26%! Yep, their 2006 revenue totaled more than $66.8 million. As Larry Dignan points out Mozilla gets over 85% of it's revenue from Google.

Google Calendar Offline Support Coming

The eagle-eyed Google Blogoscoped forum noticed that Google Gears has started prompting some users to enable offline support. Tony Ruscoe looked through some of the JavaScript code on the page, and managed to scrounge up two different lines that provide definite clues that Google Gears support for Google Calendar is coming soon.
