Webroot Offers Free Firewall for Vista & XP (Limited Time)

I received a tip the other day from "S" who was letting me know that Webroot is giving away free licenses for their firewall software. This is for a limited time only, and I've already requested several licenses of it for myself.

Google Introduces SearchMash with Flash

Google has just made some very "unlike Google" changes to SearchMash, their experimental search engine. Much like Google's search, SearchMash has always offered a rather simple experience that was easy to use. Recently they launched a new flash version that has all kinds of features like tabs to switch between search options (images, videos, etc.) and a "snap preview".

That way people don't have to keep their main browser open all of the time if all they want to do is read news on Google Reader, or browse Facebook.

CyberNotes:Mac OS X Leopard Launch Day Humor

With today being the grand launch day of Mac OS X Leopard, I thought we'd continue the topic we started last week focusing on Mac computers. There's no better time to poke fun at Apple and Mac and in the process, laugh a little too. Below you'll find a collection of jokes and comics from around the web. I'm not promising gut-busting kind of laughter, but they're still funny. :)
