With the Mac Leopard operating system getting released just a few weeks ago it is no surprise that there are some new Get A Mac ads available. They are titled Podium, PR Lady, and Boxer.
As always Apple has posted the videos in the MOV format, which requires you to have Quicktime or some other more advanced media player installed to watch the videos. That’s why earlier this year I started a post over in the forum which has every Get A Mac ad available via Google Video, thereby eliminating the need for Quicktime. Have you seen all 28 of the ads? If not head on over to the forum to watch them all.
Out of the three new ones I would have to say that Podium is the best, followed by PR Lady, and then Boxer. Most of the videos take advantage of the fact that people are switching back to XP, which was a good angle for them to take. Without further ado here are the three new Get A Mac ads:

shame that leopard is giving many mac users the same headache that vista is giving many pc users…I have used both and have had few, if any, problems with either one, usually caused by me and my habit of doing things im not supposed to with a computer…
…and by that i mean messing with the operating system and files, not anything else.
No matter how many problems Leopard has, Apple has brilliant marketing strategies.
Podium was funny. PR was OK. Boxer was just dumb. “Not a competition?!” Of course it’s a competition.
I’m guilty of the same things. Naturally you think the computer will understand what you’re trying to do, but then it all goes wrong.
They really are great at marketing. Their commercials for iPods, iPhone, computers, and more have always caught my attention. I really like their new iPod Nano commercial.
Glad I someone else felt the same way I did on them.
Podium is definitely my favorite — especially the line “it’s not what Vista can do for you, it’s what you can buy for Vista” or something like that.
Definitely a great marketing team over at Apple, there’s no denying that!
I find it funny that Apple are spending loads of money on this when they’re not even trying to hurt sales of PCs - just Vista. That their money is best spent on adverts rather than fixing all the problems that have cropped up with leopard is certainly some form of irony.
I still think our Mitchell and Webb versions are better though
Companies like Apple have to advertise to pull in a new audience, and they are smart for making these ads. Think about how viral they are, and the fact that they put Windows down in the process is just an added benefit for them.
