Do you remember when you played Pacman how you could go off the edge of the screen, and almost magically you would popup on the other side? You can setup your computer mouse to do the same sort of thing. When you touch one edge of the screen it automatically jumps over to the other side.
All you have to do is download the free Edgeless software, and go through the small installation process. I tested it out, and it works like a champ. I’m not sure whether I’ll keep using it since I quickly started to realize how often my mouse touches the edge of the screen. The result is that my mouse often inadvertently jumps to the other side of my monitor.
If you have an exceptionally large monitor, however, this could minimize how much you have to move your mouse to get from one side to the other.

You can also accomplish the same thing in Synergy by telling it that each monitor is on the opposite side of each other.
I was able to get a setup working with the monitor in the middle attached to one monitor, and then the two monitors on either side were actually from the same second computer… the mouse wrapped all the way around.
Now I have three computers on three monitors, but I can make it wrap from the computers on either edge to the other one.
This looks like something I could definitely use. Nice find
I don’t use Synergy since I only have one primary computer that I use, but I have heard other people talk about how nice it is for sharing your mouse across operating systems. That’s pretty nice that it also lets you wrap it around, especially when you have more than two monitors.
Glad you like it! I figured it would be a program some people would find useful.
First post from long time reader and follower of CyberNetNews: great site! Not a lot of articles daily, however very good content. Thanks so much.
An alternative to Edgeless is the smaller and more customizable little program CursorUS (http://www.loonies.narod.ru/cursorus.htm). Although I don’t use it a lot, whenever I am mouse busy I enable it in the system tray.
