The noise definitely isn&#039;t an issue for me. I don&#039;t know what the original Xbox&#039;s were like, but once I turn the television on the sound from the TV easily covers up the noise from the Xbox. You&#039;ll also want to take into consideration how close you are to the Xbox because that could make a difference just how much you hear. In terms of a DVD drive... I pretty much only watch movies on our entertainment unit where we have our Media Center computer hooked up. So I use that.

A PS3 is not a Media Center Extender. It can connect to a Media Center server, but it does not replicate the Windows Media Center experience like what you get on the Xbox. So it lacks the very functionality that I was looking for in a console... meaning it&#039;s not a better deal for me.</description>

Thanks Dean! I am definitely loving the camera, but there is a lot to take in. I don&#039;t know how the professionals can keep all the darn settings straight.</description>
