Bill Gates CES Keynote 2008

One of my favorite events of the year is the Bill Gates Keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). That's typically where he shows off gadgets that many of us know are like 20+ years away, but it's cool to watch nonetheless. One such example is the technologically advanced bedroom that Gates demonstrated at CES 2007, which is pictured above.

Helpful Tip: How to Select Text Vertically in MS Word

I can't tell you how many times I've been writing something or working on a project in Microsoft Word and it would have been helpful to be able to select text vertically. Could this engine end up moving in on WordPress's territory? I think it's possible, but it would definitely take some time before people felt confident enough to make the switch.

Ask.com’s "Click to Speak" Put to the Test

Ask.com has just added a new and free voice activated directions service to their Mobile site so that users are able to speak their location and then speak their desired destination and receive directions on their mobile phone.  When I first read about it, it seemed like it was Ask.com's response to GOOG-411, except they were trying to take it a bit further.

CyberNotes: Headlines From Jay Leno!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say the best part of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno is Headlines.  They're the real headlines that viewers send in which they find in newspapers across the country. Below you'll find a collection of some of my favorites - all of which come from NBC's website. At the bottom I've also included a video with additional Headlines... enjoy!
