It’s about time Comodo fixed those Windows Updates bugs. I’ve been using Comodo for a few months, and I’m not impressed. Granted, it’s free, so I shouldn’t expect much, but still… I’ve read rave reviews from other users, but I don’t consider this firewall to be all that great.
Unfortunately, it’s one of the few firewalls that will work on Vista, so until the choices expand a bit more, I think I’ll have to stick with Comodo–the lesser of the evils…
Out of the options available for Vista I would definitely say Comodo is at the top. I never experienced the Windows Update bug, but I could see how that would be a bad issue to have.
I was going to upgrade, then read a few similar posts of bad experiences and decided to stay at 2.4, even though I’d like to put this onto Vista and not use Windows Firewall.
Sounds dodgy though.
The bug related to Windows Update for Sidebar security. If you don’t use sidebar or install many 3rd party gadgets, maybe you won’t have problem installing the update.
Is this update fix problem with Avast?
