Maybe Microsoft will find a way to run apps in their free Virtual PC, but making them feel like they are running on the host operating system. Kind of like Parallels is able to do for Macs. That’s a good point. Maybe Microsoft will find a way to run apps in their free Virtual PC, but making them feel like they are running on the host operating system. The question is will Windows 7 really be modular as they say it will be? If it is it may run well on the same hardware as XP, something Vista can't do well. Drivers will have problems, software compatibility will be poor initially, and there will likely be problems all around. That's always the case when a new version of Windows comes out. People want revolutionary change, but they also want extensive compatibility. Unfortunately I don't think there is a happy medium. I think it's a good idea since Vista is not looked upon so well in the poll of public opinion.
