Ultimate Software Update Monitor?

I'm still on a quest to find a great software update monitor so that I know when new versions of my favorite apps are released, and I just found a new one that looks promising. To recap we've showed you how to create your own software update monitor, reviewed UpdateStar, tried out AppSnap, played with File Hippo's Update Checker, and gave Secunia PSI a whirl.

iPhone as a SideShow Competitor? I Think So!

Earlier today I was over at jkOnTheRun and read something that really caught my attention. It was an observation that the iPhone could potentially turn out to be a Vista SideShow Competitor. Now, before we get into the details of how the iPhone work great as a Vista SideShow competitor, I thought we'd review exactly what it was first. Firefox 3 Themes for XP & Vista

Last week we kept you up-to-date on Mozilla's progress for the Firefox 3 theme on both the Linux and Mac OS X platforms. Play Any Track for Free at Last.fm

Ever since CBS acquired social music service Last.fm for $280 million last May, we've been wondering what they intended to do with the service and how it would be beneficial to CBS. Now we know.  The last.fm blog entry posted today titled 'Free the Music" explains it all and how they have a business model, a method for bringing in revenue which is something that will ultimately benefit CBS.

Vista SP1 Release Date: February 15th?

There's some speculation floating around that Windows Vista SP1 will be released on February 15th, which is three weeks away from this coming Friday. Vista users could look at it as a belated Valentines Day present from our buddies over at Microsoft.

CyberNotes: Switch Between Multiple Site Logins

There was a lot of excitement when we wrote about the Greasemonkey script that could be used to switch between multiple Gmail accounts. At that time Thilak commented about a Firefox extension that basically accomplished the same task. With it you create user profiles that you can switch between, and it uses a different set of cookies for each of the profiles.
