One of my favorite sites to get the latest weather information has always been Weather Underground (wunderground.com). They provide a lot of details about the weather from around the world, and always have what I consider to be the best static/animated radar imagery. Despite having used the service for years it wasn’t until yesterday that I realized there was a Weather Underground Lite (wund.com) available. Interestingly enough there’s not even a mention of the “lite” version on their main homepage.
What’s so special about the lite version? It has very few ads on it, and the interface is extremely easy to follow. They also put JavaScript to good use in various areas throughout the site to reduce clutter and improve navigation, such as for switching between different weather maps. If you’re on a slower Internet connection this will definitely be one of the better alternatives.
A cellphone-friendly version of Weather Underground Lite is available at http://m.wund.com and an iPhone-friendly version is at http://i.wund.com.

They would lose ad revenue if they post about it on the main site
Very good site indeed ryan. It is appreciable that it is not entirely US centric and also shows temperature in Celsius which is the default in my part of the world. Too many sites show temperatures in only fahrenheit, which i cannot associate with.
Guess that wasn’t the first thing that popped into my mind.
I was rather surprised to see that it had global temperatures as well. It made me love the site even more.
