Google decided that today would be a good day to spruce up Google Docs a bit by removing some of the blue that previously laid behind the buttons on the toolbar. When I first saw the new design (pictured below) I thought it looked pretty slick, but then I almost started to see some resemblance from Zoho's recent makeover:

Microsoft’s WorldWide Telescope is "it"

After all of the speculation regarding what extraordinary thing was coming from Microsoft, we now know that the WorldWide Telescope is "it." Robert Scoble confirmed this yesterday and reiterated that people who have not seen the demo will think that a telescope is lame.

Picnik Wants You to be a Photo Editing Superstar

In their latest blog entry, the crew over at popular online photo editing service Picnik says they want everybody to be able to be a photo editing superstar. That's why they're making the features that were previously available only to premium users, available to everybody. So how is it that they're able to do this? Well, the site is now ad-supported.

iPhone SDK on the Map

iPhone users have patiently been waiting for the SDK announcement this month, which is when Steve Jobs said it would be coming back in October. It turns out that things have been a bit delayed (does anyone deliver on time anymore?), but one week from now iPhone users will likely be flying high as they find out just what the SDK will be capable of accomplishing.

Jotspot Resurfaces as Google Sites

Shortly after Google acquired YouTube back in 2006, they acquired Jotspot. Jotspot offered their users a place where they could create a structured Wiki that was easily updatable. Once they were acquired, we knew eventually Google would launch that used Jotspot's technology.

CyberNotes: Multiple Tuners in Vista Media Center (MCE)

I've been using a Vista Media Center computer for over a year to record all of my favorite shows, and overall I have been really impressed with it. The commercial skipping add-on is a real gem, and the WebGuide add-on makes it possible to access and schedule shows no matter where I am.
