Google decided that today would be a good day to spruce up Google Docs a bit by removing some of the blue that previously laid behind the buttons on the toolbar. When I first saw the new design (pictured below) I thought it looked pretty slick, but then I almost started to see some resemblance from Zoho's recent makeover:

In their latest blog entry, the crew over at popular online photo editing service Picnik says they want everybody to be able to be a photo editing superstar. That's why they're making the features that were previously available only to premium users, available to everybody. So how is it that they're able to do this? Well, the site is now ad-supported.

Shortly after Google acquired YouTube back in 2006, they acquired Jotspot. Jotspot offered their users a place where they could create a structured Wiki that was easily updatable. Once they were acquired, we knew eventually Google would launch something that used Jotspot's technology. The day has come, and a new service from Google has launched called Google Sites which incorporates elements we saw in Jotspot.
