AltTab Mouse Shortcut

Ever since I released the Vista Flip3D mouse shortcut I've received a few emails from people who still prefer the Alt+Tab application switching (especially XP users who don't have Flip3D). I have since modified my Flip3D AutoHotkey script, and spun it into a different variation that works great with the Alt+Tab key combination.

CyberNotes: Three IMDB.com Alternatives

Anytime that I've needed to lookup information regarding a movie, I've always turned to The Internet Movie Database. They're considered to be "the biggest, best, most award-winning movie and TV site on the planet" and they have all kinds of information available.

Mmm… Spam Recipes from Gmail

If you use Gmail, you may or may not have noticed Web Clips at the top of your inbox.  Until recently even though I've been a user for quite some time, I hadn't noticed it. Web Clips are news headlines, blog posts, RSS and Atom feeds, and relevant sponsored links found at the very top of your inbox. Below is a screenshot of my inbox which shows a Web Clip:

Microsoft Cracking Down More on Vista Piracy

Microsoft must be extremely unhappy with the "quality" of the cracks available for Vista right now. Earlier this month we showed that the Vista OEM BIOS crack is still alive and kicking in Vista SP1 despite claims by Microsoft that those types of cracks had been patched. I would mark that up as an "oops" by Microsoft.

Firefox Rolls Over the 500 Million Download Mark

Back in September, the Firefox download counter rolled over the 400 million mark giving Mozilla yet another reason to celebrate over their open-source web browser. At the time, Ryan looked at their current trend in growth and estimated that around April 15th, 2008 Firefox would hit their 1/2 billion milestone. Well, it's only February 22, 2008 and they've just hit their 500 million mark.

Microsoft just publicly launched their Windows Live SkyDrive service which now offers a whopping 5GB of storage at no cost. Skype Reaches 100 Billion Minute Milestone

An announcement over at the Skype blog on February 13th almost went unnoticed. Skype's Villu Arak wrote up a post a week ago and mentioned how 100 billion humans have walked on this planet and the human brain has 100 billion neurons. What does Skype have in common with those two facts? The number 100 billion. That's how many Skype-to-Skype free minutes have been used among Skype users over time.

Google Health to Announce Pilot Program Today

Back in August last year, screenshots emerged which gave us an idea of what Google's Health service was going to look like. At the time we noted that the success of Google Health was largely dependent on doctors using computerized records versus the standard paper option. It appears as though Google has found a place to test out Google Health where computerized records were already in use.
