50GB of Free Online Storage with ADrive

When we wrote about the new Windows Live SkyDrive a few weeks ago I was surprised to see them launch with 5GB of storage. It was anticipated that Microsoft would only deliver 2GB of storage, but they obviously changed their minds for the better. What shocked me even more, however, was a comment by Leland regarding a service called ADrive.

iPhone SDK News

Apple just got done wrapping up the iPhone SDK event that they had scheduled for today, and they actually had quite a bit to say. about half of the time was dedicated to enterprise users who have been wishing for Exchange support, and the other half walked the attendees through how the SDK was going to work. And they of course had some applications to demo which we'll cover below.

Internet Explorer 8 First Impressions

We've been receiving quite a few requests from our readers wanting to know what we think about Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1, and whether it is worth the upgrade. I downloaded and installed it shortly after it was released yesterday, and the total installation time on my Vista machine took around 4 or 5 minutes. There were absolutely no problems upgrading to IE 8 from IE 7.

Flickr Donates 10,000 Pro Memberships "for Good"

There are so many reasons that people use Flickr whether it's for business, personal, or marketing purposes.  A recent blog entry over at Flickr points out how some members of Flickr are using it for something a little different than others and that is "to shine a light of social or global issues." For this reason, Flickr has created a new site called Flickr for Good.  It's a place where information can be shared on charity, issues, or other good causes out there.

Sync Google Calendar with Microsoft Outlook

Google has just taken a big step in making the lives of both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar users easier. For someone who used both, maybe one for work and the other for home, keeping the calendars up to date and in sync with each other was no easy process until now.

CyberNotes: Enable Presentation Mode in PowerPoint

I've sat through a lot of PowerPoint presentations before, and one thing that always struck me as interesting was how many people don't take advantage of PowerPoint's special "Presenter's View." It's been around since at least Office 2003, and I've found it to be an incredibly valuable tool when making presentations myself.
