Earlier this month the Acid3 test was released to give browsers the push they need to stay on top of the constantly evolving web standards. Almost all of the mainstream browsers now support the Acid2 test, and so it only makes sense that a new one would be released to give developers something to shoot for.

Every day when I go out to get the mail, there's one thing I know for sure will be there... credit card offers. Often times the envelopes read "Pre-approved" or "0% APR" or "Get Cash Back with This Offer." Whoopty Do. Another credit card offer that I have to shred. It gets old after a while, and I'm sure most of you can relate.

When Apple opened the very first Apple retail store back in 2001, one of the main goals was to increase their market share.  At the time, they were sitting at around 5%, and BBC News quoted Steve jobs as saying, "Apple has about 5% of the market share today and the other 95% don't even consider us." Seven years later, it looks like some of the 95% who never even considered buying Mac computers are now not only considering it, they're actually buying them.

Microsoft has done it! After a month and a half of being completed Vista SP1 has been posted to the servers for anyone and everyone to download. There are all kinds of performance improvements included in this Service Pack that will make the operating system more appealing to users who have been holding out on an upgrade.

I don't think anyone was really expecting to see a new release of Apple's Safari browser today, but it has dropped down the tubes for all to enjoy. Apple is once again boasting the performance of the browser when stacked up against the other mainstream alternatives, and according to them Safari comes out well on top in terms of HTML performance and JavaScript performance.

Radiohead is an English alternative rock band that has been around since 1992.  Last year a big deal was made with their In Rainbows album because they were the first to sell it through their own site as a digital download and then the buyers chose the price they wanted to pay (this is similar to the approach that Nine Inch Nails is taking with their latest album).
