At least SP1 doesn’t break anything, so keep the improvements coming!</blockquote>[/div]
It did solve one of the biggest quirks that I had with my laptop. When it started before it would stop doing anything until it connected to my wireless network. Now with SP1 it will continue loading applications at startup while it is connecting to the network. That's one of the biggest improvements that I noticed.

I installed this on three different machines (one desktop and two laptops) and to my surprise I didn't have any hardware issues. At least you were able to fix it by reinstalling the drivers.

The file (640 MB) was being transfered at a meager 1 MB per/sec over a 54G network. This is the same as before the service pack.</blockquote>[/div]
I've noticed some file transfer speed improvements particularly when copying between two hard drives on the same computer. The thing that I've really found to be snappy is searching in the Start Menu. The time it takes to calculate the time estimation for a file transfer is much better.

To uninstall Vista SP1 Beta you'll need to go into the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, click on the installed updates link along the left side, and then find the Vista SP1 entry.

And the update isn’t showing on my Windows Update list. You think d/l’ing the Stand Alone version would work without bloating my system?</blockquote>[/div]
The standalone version will only install what is needed, and won't install anything that you wouldn't get by updating via Windows Update. The reason why it is so large is because it includes all of the updates up until this point, but if you've been updating your computer many of the updates won't need to be installed.
