Demonoid is Back Online!

The title says it all! Demonoid, a BitTorrent tracker, has been down since November 2007 when the Canadian Recording Industry forced them to close their doors. TorrentFreak reported today that the site would be resurrected under a new administrator, but I don't think anyone was expecting that it would happen so quickly.

Rumor around the web today is that Microsoft plans on opening retail stores, much like what Apple has done. Collaborate with your iGoogle Gadgets

Google has just added a pretty nifty feature to iGoogle that will allow users to share their gadgets with others so that they can edit and make changes to them.  Think of it as collaboration for gadgets, like what you can do in Google Docs.

Finally! Well over a year ago I wrote about how a Microsoft blog was outlining how to make a Vista "PowerToy" gadget. The gadget that they were using for their demonstration was a Vista Search Index controller where you could pause or start indexing on-demand. For one reason or another the gadget was never actually released... until now!

Most mapping services out there have some type of real-time traffic system which helps alert users to the locations where traffic might be backed up. Microsoft up until now, hasn't had such a feature with their Live Maps.
