5 Demonoid Invites to Giveaway

It was just last Friday that Demonoid was resurrected, and staying true to our promise we’re giving away the 5 invites that we have! Demonoid is a private invite-only BitTorrent service that has an amazing community, and we’re happy to offer some of our readers a chance to be a part of it.

Here’s what you have to do for a chance to receive an invite:

  1. Leave a comment below, and be sure to include your email address in the appropriate field. (If you’re a registered user you can edit the email address on your profile page)
  2. We will randomly pick 5 winners out of the first 20 comments on this article. Invitation codes will be sent to the email address you provided in the comment. Winners will also be announced on this article so be sure to check back!
  3. Once you get an invitation code you’ll want to head on over to this registration page.

    Did it ever occur to you that THIS is how a lot of the trouble starts? I know everyone’s gonna love flamin’ me, but I won’t be back to read it, so have a ball.

    I just think it’s lame that people are so willing to just had invites to strangers who could be anyone or work for anyone. That alone puts the site back in jeopardy. Not to say that any of the people you “selected” are a problem, but how do you know?

    Do you even grasp the concept of a private, or semi-private site? The point is to forge a community of friends, and to make sure that people we trust are part of that community.

    Also, unless the rules have changed since demonoid.com came back online, users can be “responsible” for those they invite. So if demonoid staff decide they don’t like they behaviour of one of your invitees, you too can be punished for their actions. Honestly, I think it’s a good rule. And it was probably put in place to thwart events like this. =)

    :) Like everyone that has posted—I would love to get an invitation — when they had open registration I tried to sign up then but couldn’t ever get on due to the traffic and by the time I did they had shut off open invitations.
    Oh well, if I get one great, great…if I don’t I still have my daily Cybernet newsletter that I enjoy everyday with all of its goodies that it contains.

    Yes, that is the case. Almost all of the people who received the invites are regulars on our site, and we have the utmost faith in them. I don’t mind putting my account on the line for those that received the invites.
