Foxit is nice, until it requires to install this or that plug-in to enable further view…

All this for 1 or 2 seconds at most? Not worth it in my opinion. Adobe Reader is complete, it’s just OK!
[/div]
Personally I don't like having the "speed launcher" installed. All that pretty much does is keep Adobe Reader minimized out of sight. It's essentially running in the background.

Ha... I didn't even notice that at first. If he gets Adobe Reader to startup in 2 seconds on a 1.6MHz machine I would be thoroughly impressed. ;)

It loads just slightly slower than Foxit, but it has a much nicer interface and more features, PLUS it lets you add text to PDF documents and save them, for free, unlike Foxit, which makes you buy the “Pro Pack” before you can save altered PDF documents. I’ve compared them and I’m sticking with PDF-Xchange Viewer.
[/div]
I do love PDF-Xchange Viewer, but one of my favorite things it had was tabs and now Foxit has those. I don't really add notes all that often, and I do believe that Foxit will let you but it will add some sort of watermark to the document.

As for Adobe's reader, I canned that ages ago. It loads slowly and fills up your hard disk and registry with a bunch of junk. Ugh!

There's a great fashion concerning a systematic opposition to all "institutionalized" software, and a quest as much for their alternatives. Now this is just fine when the alternative is worth it.

Sometimes I generate lots of PDFs in sequence, this is very handy.

One more thing: They created a ‘firefox like’ search window (not floating, but attached to the interface). I really love this feature. Its annoying that floating thing in the middle of the document.
[/div]
It's kinda surprising to me that they included so many nice features and yet it didn't get much of a version bump. To me this this felt more like a 3.0 release.
