I'm a regular Windows fanboy and Mac-basher, but one thing about Vista search that I hate is that you cannot search text within files at unindexed places. This feature was in all previous windowses, but I really can't find it in Windows Vista. And that really sucks.

If I'm wrong, I'd be glad if someone could show me how to do it.

Ashley's comment above points out a truth. And I too bet Anand is just not aware of computers and OSes world.
The truth Ashley underlines is that vulnerabilty increases with popularity.

Have you used Windows before? I'm just going to take a wild guess and say that you haven't for any decent amount of time. It's not as bad as some people, particularly those who haven't actually tried it, make it out to be. Are you aware of the vulnerabilities that Mac OS X users face? Because they're out there. As Macs computers become more popular, the number of vulnerabilities will continue to increase...

I'm just an every-day-user, you know, so i'm glad with Vista searches.
Mac Spotlight features seem interesting ones at a glance on your experience comments, and Leopard users, thus are power-users.
Vista millions of users less, they'll enjoy the sentence.

Anyway, just curiously, may now OS X platforms support all windows power-apps? Sure?

It's a lot more difficult doing that with one finger, and if you're using a Windows-designed keyboard those two keys are not next to each other.

Yes, I am complaining :) I have a non-Apple external keyboard set-up so the keys aren't right next to each other which does make it a little more difficult. To activate spotlight I have to press the windows key + spacebar -- one extra key does make a difference. :)

And i liked the preferences of Spotlight better than the Vista one.
