New MacBook Pro’s Today? Um, no.

This morning I woke up and saw that we had received a tip from someone pointing to this article by the Inquirer. It caught my attention because it was talking about a new set of upgrades to Apple's MacBook Pro line of computers. As the day went on we received a few more tips on this, and a few of them linked to some gadget websites who had also written about it.

Open Office 2007 Documents in OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta

There has been a lot of buzz in the last week regarding OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta. Some people are excited with the new features that it brings to the table, while others are a little disappointed that the interface didn't get much of a facelift. No matter which way you look at it, this will be a huge release since milestones like this only occur once every three years for OpenOffice.org.

RIM Boldly Announces the New BlackBerry 9000

The highly anticipated new BlackBerry has been Boldly announced and is said to be available this Summer exclusively from AT&T in the U.S. with other carrier versions coming soon. It's called the BlackBerry Bold (a.k.a. BlackBerry 9000) and it sure is slick.

Firefox 3 Nearing Completion

Development on the Firefox 3 browser is finally starting to wrap up. It's been a year and a half since Firefox 2 was released to the public, and by the end of May Firefox 3 will have entered the Release Candidate stages. This is all preparation for what looks to be a June 2008 launch of the long awaited Firefox 3 browser.

YouTube Mistakenly Blocked on Windows Live Messenger

In what turned out to be a simple coincidence, over the weekend, Windows Live Messenger users reported that they were unable to send YouTube links to their contacts. The screenshot below from I Started Something shows that when a user tried to send any type of link with "youtube.com" in it, the message failed to be delivered.

CyberNotes: Apple Front Row vs. Windows Media Center

Today we're taking a look at Apple's Front Row vs. Windows Media Center. We're not really sure if Front Row can be compared to Media Center because right now, they serve different purposes. Front Row is more of an interface for controlling the media already on your computer while Media Center will do that in addition to recording television shows.
