What do You Think of the Firefox 3 Themes?

Firefox 3 is scheduled to be finished in the next month or two, and with it users will begin seeing a completely redesigned interface that is tailored to the operating system that they are using. This version of Firefox has already made significant advances in terms of performance, and it seems as though the only thing people have been criticizing in Firefox 3 are the new themes.

Gmail to get Themes Soon?

Back in March last year, Google launched themes for personalized homepages that change with time and weather. The themes quickly became a hit and since then, they've added new themes and even launched an iGoogle Themes Directory so that people can create their own and share them with others.

CyberNotes: Windows Contacts vs. Address Book

These days, it can be difficult to manually keep track of contact information for family, friends, and co-workers. Not only is there usually a phone number to remember, but often times there are multiple phone numbers, email addresses, fax numbers, pager numbers, etc. One way to solve the problem of trying to keep up with all of your contact's information is to use an application for managing them.

Helpful Tip: Preview iCal Calendars in Firefox 3

One of the things that Firefox 3 has really been pushing to do is make the browser more usable, and there are some nice things they've added to do just that. I'm not sure how often you deal with iCal calendars in your browser, but I come across them from time to time. Normally it's because of friends or family that want to share their schedules with me.

Helpful Tip: Using Gmail as a Journal…

A bout a week ago, I came across an article over at Webware about using Gmail as a baby book. Rafe Needleman pointed out how setting up a new Gmail account would be a really simple solution for parents who want to keep a record of what is going on in their children's lives.

Google Spreadsheets Now Allows Public Editing

Google actually made an interesting move yesterday in terms of how people can collaborate on the spreadsheets they create. If you take a look at the Share tab in one of your Google Spreadsheets you'll notice a new option towards the bottom that's new. With it you can share a spreadsheet that can be edited by anyone and everyone which, as Google OS points out, essentially makes this a wiki.

ReadAir: Google Reader Desktop App

Windows; Mac; One thing that has always amazed me is the fact that none of the desktop feed readers currently available synchronize with Google Reader. Maybe I'm wrong and I just haven't searched hard enough, but we're getting a little closer with ReadAir.

Microsoft Touchwall: The Surface Gets Supersized

The digital future appears to be one that embraces touch-screen technology, or so Microsoft thinks. Last year they showed off the $10,000 Surface, which is a large touch-screen table that can interact with things that are placed on it. For example, the Surface has started showing up in AT&T stores as a way for users to compare and contrast devices that they sell.

CyberNotes: Track a Stolen Computer

Windows only Today we've got an amazing freeware application for Windows that actually serves two different purposes. Give a hardy welcome to LocatePC. First and foremost it will keep you informed of your computer's whereabouts by sending you an email either on a daily basis or anytime the IP address of the machine changes.

Free Designer Templates for Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office is a powerhouse suite, and it does of course include templates for the various applications. What it doesn't really have, however, are templates that tie together the different apps within the suite. It looks as though Microsoft may have realized this pitfall, and so they posted six very nice (and free) designer templates that each come in nine different color schemes.
