Opera 9.5 Gets a New Default Theme

The Opera browser has been prancing around with the same ol' theme for several years now, which can easily be seen from our look back at older versions of popular browsers. Needless to say a makeover has been long overdue, and it's now here! The new theme is dubbed Sharp, and is currently available in the latest snapshot release of Opera 9.5.

Verizon Set to Purchase Alltel for $28.1 Billion

Verizon Wireless is about to make a pretty big purchase which will give them a pretty big title. According to Reuters, Verizon Wireless is all set to purchase Alltel Corp. (another mobile service provider) for $28.1 billion dollars. Once this purchase is complete, Verizon will take over AT&T's spot as the largest player in the U.S. mobile market in terms of subscribers.

Greasemonkey is one of the extensions that I know many of you are waiting to get upgraded before making the jump to Firefox 3. If that's the only extension you're holding out for then I've got good news for you... there's a pre-release version of Greasemonkey that was assembled a few weeks ago (May 19, 2008), and it's completely compatible with Firefox 3.

One of the things that bug me the most when buying something are the accompanying rebates, but sometimes that is the only way to get a good deal. When it comes to online purchases I like to print off the rebates as soon as I make the purchase, but then the laziness kicks in for a few weeks simply because I don't feel like filling out the form.
