On-the-Go Dictionary Definitions in Your Browser

A few weeks ago we showed you how to get fast dictionary definitions on both Macs and PC's, but if you only need to grab dictionary definitions in your browser there's a much better solution. Lingro is offering a free dictionary and translation service that works in Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Internet Explorer using a simple bookmarklet.

ESET Receives their 50th VB100 Award

ESET makes what I believe to be the best antivirus application, and last week they announced that they really had something to be proud of. They earned their 50th VB100 award, which came from a test for their ESET Security offering on Ubuntu Linux Server. What's even more amazing is that ESET has only failed three times when being tested a total of 53 times:

Firefox 3.0 RC3 Fixes Critical Mac Bug

It looked like Mozilla was ready to ship Firefox 3 with the last Release Candidate, but a critical bug surfaced that they couldn't ignore. So Mozilla is rushing out a Firefox 3 RC3 that fixes only this one bug, and only Mac OS X users need to make the upgrade. Firefox 3 RC3 for both Windows and Linux are the same as Firefox 3 RC2.

Most of you have at least heard of Google Trends before, it's Google's comparison tool that allows you to enter in different topics to see how often it's been searched for on Google. It's not one of those features that the masses use, but it's still nice that they have it.
