New iGoogle Starts Rolling Out

We reported a few months ago about how Google was adding a new social spin to iGoogle by offering a Facebook-style update module. It appears that Google has already put the new system through its paces, and has begun the rollout process that will continue over the next month or so.

Dell Studio Laptops Get Some Mac-Like Qualities

Dell has a launched a new line of laptop computers dubbed Dell Studio that has raised a few eyebrows. The laptops ship with Windows Vista which isn't surprising, but the thing that made Gizmodo do a double-take was the Mac-like dock that appeared on the desktop.

We very briefly mentioned the Asus Eee Box as an example of an ultra low-cost desktop PC that will be hitting the market soon, but we didn't have any idea what it looked like. Asus has officially unveiled the new Ee Box and it looks like it will come in three different colors, white, black, and red.

Driving seems to get more and more dangerous these days with people talking and checking email on their phones, jamming out to music, and doing whatever it is that distracts them from keeping their eyes, and their minds on the road. Several states have already passed laws prohibiting drivers from talking on their phones unless they are using a hands-free device.

Yesterday there was some concern raised over at Reddit because someone had noticed that both of Mozilla's flagship products, Firefox and Thunderbird, call home every 24-hours. This happens regardless of whether you go into the Firefox preferences and disable all of the different types of updates. Why then does Mozilla's products phone home then?

CyberNotes: Override & Modify Keyboard Shortcuts on a Mac

For me using a computer without keyboard shortcuts would be like trying to cut the grass with a pair of scissors. Sure it could be done, but it would take a lot longer to accomplish a task that should take no time at all.
