Apple's App Store is now over two weeks old, and I have to say that overall I'm impressed with the variety of applications available for download. In the first three days of the launch over 10 million downloads were served up by Apple, and in the first 10 days that number increased to over 25 million downloads. No matter which way you slice it they're averaging millions of downloads each day.

Mozilla is working hard on Firefox 3.1 which is slated for release later this year, and with it will come several improvements. For starters it will include a Control+Tab replacement that makes switching between tabs a bit more fancy. It will also come packed with numerous improvements to the address bar to help please those of you who don't like how it currently handles itself.

CalDAV support has come to Google Calendar, but it's still a little rough around the edges. It is nice that it's finally available though, so that iCal users can view and edit their Google Calendar events from iCal, and visa versa. It's a two-way synchronization process that will keep all of your calendars up to date. This synchronization will occur at an interval that you specify.

Every year there are handfuls of new search engines that pop-up trying to compete with the big boys like Google and Yahoo. And every year those same search engine companies realize just how difficult it is to take on such a task.

I know that Launchy has won the hearts of many Windows users out there as being one of the best applications launchers available. The good news is that it's not a Windows-only program anymore! Launchy 2.1.1 was just released today, and with it comes full support for Linux (both KDE and GNOME desktops). How cool is that?

In the past, both Ryan and I had been a fan of Google Bookmarks, especially because we were able to use the GMarks extension along with it. With the release of Firefox 3 though, we wanted to use the built-in system because we liked the way it handled itself.
