Firefox 3.1 Alpha 1 Download

It seems like just yesterday Firefox 3.0 was released, and here we sit with the first Alpha release of Firefox 3.1 in our lap. This new release is supposed to reach final form towards the end of the year, but until that time comes there will be plenty of pre-release versions (like this one) that you can tinker with.

View Video Footage of Microsoft’s “Mojave Experiment”

Last week we told you about how Microsoft set-out to find people who didn't think very highly of Vista. They interviewed them on video to ask them about their impressions of Vista, and then showed them a "new" operating system called Mojave.

CyberNotes: Creating Advanced Desktop Shortcuts in Windows

Desktop shortcuts can be extremely useful for doing common tasks like launching applications, opening commonly used folders, and pulling up your favorite websites, but few people take the time to use shortcuts for anything else.

App Store Averaging Millions of Downloads Each Day

Apple's App Store is now over two weeks old, and I have to say that overall I'm impressed with the variety of applications available for download. In the first three days of the launch over 10 million downloads were served up by Apple, and in the first 10 days that number increased to over 25 million downloads. No matter which way you slice it they're averaging millions of downloads each day.

CalDAV Support Comes to Google Calendar, Not Perfect

CalDAV support has come to Google Calendar, but it's still a little rough around the edges. It is nice that it's finally available though, so that iCal users can view and edit their Google Calendar events from iCal, and visa versa. It's a two-way synchronization process that will keep all of your calendars up to date. This synchronization will occur at an interval that you specify.

Cuil Launches, But Doesn’t Impress With Results

Every year there are handfuls of new search engines that pop-up trying to compete with the big boys like Google and Yahoo. And every year those same search engine companies realize just how difficult it is to take on such a task.

Launchy on Linux, too

I know that Launchy has won the hearts of many Windows users out there as being one of the best applications launchers available. The good news is that it's not a Windows-only program anymore! Launchy 2.1.1 was just released today, and with it comes full support for Linux (both KDE and GNOME desktops). How cool is that?

Google Working on New Interface for Bookmarks

In the past, both Ryan and I had been a fan of Google Bookmarks, especially because we were able to use the GMarks extension along with it. With the release of Firefox 3 though, we wanted to use the built-in system because we liked the way it handled itself.

CyberNotes: A Review of the iPhone 3G

As promised, today we'll be reviewing the iPhone 3G. Now that we've had it for about two weeks, we felt as though we could give an accurate and honest review. We'll cover what we think of the GPS, 3G data speeds, applications, the new firmware, and more...

MyFive: Things We Wished the iPhone 3G Had

As we've mentioned, CyberNet's iPhone 3G review will be coming within the next week or so. We decided not to post it right away so we could have ample time to test out all of the new features. In the mean time, we thought we'd fill ya in on five things we wished the iPhone 3G had. It sure is a nice device, but it isn't perfect. Here's what we'd like to see on a 3rd generation iPhone.

Halite: A Small BitTorrent Client

I've been a big fan of uTorrent for quite some time mostly because of its small size, but there are a lot of features it has that I've never really needed. For example, how often do you look at all of those fancy graphs in uTorrent? If you feel the same way then you might want to checkout the Halite BitTorrent client.

CyberNotes: Picsviewr Provides Cool Templates for Your Flickr Photos

On multiple occasions we have mentioned the fact that we use Flickr for our online photo storage and sharing solution. It's a great service that allows us to easily share our photos with family and friends, and we couldn't be happier with it.

New Poll: What Office Suite Do You Use?

An office suite is just one of those things we wouldn't be able to be productive without. Both Ryan and I use various office suite applications every single day, so it's one of the very first things that always gets installed on our computers.

Google has Uncovered 1 Trillion URL’s

Google announced today that their search engine has hit a huge milestone, and it's that they've come across an astounding 1 trillion unique URL's on the web. Don't confuse this with the number of pages that the search engine has indexed, because they flat out said that they are not indexing each of those trillion URL's since many of them have duplicated/useless content:

120 Million Licenses of Office 2007 Shipped

It was just last week that Microsoft said that 180 million licenses of Vista have been shipped since its release, and now we finally have an update on Microsoft Office 2007's standings. According to Microsoft Watch there have been 120 million licenses of Office 2007 shipped, which is actually rather impressive.
