Convert & Extract Audio from Videos

There have been a few times where I've wanted to extract audio from video files, but it's not always easy to find a free tool that can successfully do that. I highly recommend grabbing the free Pazera app if you ever find yourself in a similar situation. To make it even more useful the program also doubles as an audio conversion utility.

Should Microsoft Un-Bundle Apps From Windows?

When it comes down to it, what most people want in an operating system is stability. They want something that works well out of the box, and they really don't care too much about the extras that come with it because they can always download them at their convenience.

New Vista Ultimate Extra: Microsoft Tinker

At this point I believe Microsoft could release just about any Ultimate Extra and it will surpass the things that they have already done. To my surprise, however, they've actually released a game called Tinker that isn't all that bad. It's a simple puzzle game where you try to guide a robot from point A to point B by traversing through obstacles.

CyberNotes: Google Chrome Tips

Google Chrome has taken the browser market by storm ever since its release a few weeks ago. The only complaint that I've really heard about the browser is that it doesn't support add-ons like Firefox does, but Google has already said that a future version will be covering those bases.

A Look at the First Google Android Phone

Today was a pretty big day for Google's Android project with the unavailing of the first Android powered phone at the T-Mobile Google Android Event. Making an appearance at the event was Google's own Sergey and Larry. Apparently they were trying to come in with a bang, because they entered on rollerblades.

More Windows 7 M3 Screenshots Leaked

Last week we saw a revamped version of Paint in the third Windows 7 milestone. At the time there weren't any other screenshots available, but it looks as though someone who got their hands on Windows 7 M3 has decided to post some screenshots showing off more of the enhancements.

After a quick visit to Yahoo's Blog, Yodel Anecdotal, you'll see that they are testing, testing... a new Yahoo.com. Millions of people visit the Yahoo Homepage every single day which means the staff given the job of redesigning the site had a pretty important job.

Microsoft Uses First-Aid Kit to Market IE 8

The last time that we received any physical type of viral marketing materials from Microsoft was back in early 2007 when Microsoft sent bloggers and other members of the media a little box. Some of you may remember this. The box was a puzzle in itself to get open, but once we got it open, we found a slim 256mb USB drive that had a video and a cipher key.

Free iPhone App Streams Music in the Background

There have been a few different radio applications that have come around, but one frequent complaint is that none of them offer a way to stream music in the background. This is a limitation that Apple has placed on third-party programs, but the native iPod app has this ability.

Best Buy Snatches Up Napster for $121 Million

Back around 1999 and 2000 when Napster was place to go when you wanted to get your hands on music, we certainly wouldn't have expected that almost 10 years later, they'd have gone through so much yet still able to survive. Not only that, we wouldn't have expected that out of anybody that could have acquired the service, that it would be Best Buy.
