Ginipic: Enhanced Image Search for Your Desktop

Searching for a specific image on the Internet can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Some sites, such as Google Image search, try to make the process easier, but shuffling through one page after another of results can quickly get tedious.

Calibre eBook Manager for Windows, Mac, and Linux

I haven't joined the eBook revolution yet, but I know a lot of people who have. Are you one of those people that carry around a Kindle, Sony Reader, or even an iPhone for that purpose? A lot of people just like reading when they're on the go without having to lug around a big book.

Keyboardr: Real-time Google & Wikipedia Search Results

Every now and again I use StumbleUpon to see what kind of unique sites I can find, and last week I found a rather nifty one called Keyboardr. It's a search engine that distinguishes itself by not actually having (or needing) a search button. Results are show to you in real-time as you type.

MyFive: Most Popular Cameras on Flickr 2009

Back in October of 2007, we took a look at the Most Popular Cameras on Flickr. It's been well over a year, and a lot happens in a year's time, so we thought we'd take a look at the current most popular cameras on Flickr. This list gives some interesting insight as to which cameras are popular, at least among the Flickr crowd of photographers.

High Sign: Mouse Gesture Application

Mouse gestures are something that I've gotten into the habit of using for years now, and giving them up would almost be like giving up the ability to use keyboard shortcuts. Some gestures have become second nature to me, and when I'm on a computer that doesn't have that capability I get rather frustrated.

Helpful Tip: Buying a House? Best Home Buying Websites and Resources

Over the last few months, Ryan and I found ourselves consumed with the process of buying our first home. Home-buying can be a daunting experience, there's no doubt about that, but it becomes a little less daunting with the help of the Internet.

Fast & Powerful Bulk File Renaming

I'm a big fan of file renaming utilities because they can save a ton of time when you have hundreds of files or photos who's filename needs to be cleaned up. There are a few different tools that I used in the past to do this, but lately I've found myself gravitating to a freeware application called Ken Rename.

Create Photo Collages in Any Shape

There has been a lot of focus on photos the last few years as digital cameras become cheaper and more widespread, and many of us are carrying cameras around in our pockets thanks to our cellphones. The great news is that this digital media revolution has made it so that almost anyone can look like a true artist with very little work.

Backup Music from iPhone or iPod

I've been asked several times how you can get music off of your iPhone or iPod. More often than not it's because something happened to the user's music library on their computer, and they are looking for a way to snag all of their precious music from their iPod before it's completely gone.

Split Your Monitor into Virtual Regions

It seems like I am always finding myself being overloaded with a dozen or two different windows open at any given time, and it can become a bit tedious to manage them. This is where applications like GridMove or WinSplit Revolution have come in handy, and today we've got another great alternative called MaxTo.

New Poll: Are Smartphones too Smart?

Over the last few years it seems as though the iPhone has really sparked a greater interest in smartphones, and has managed to show consumers what handheld devices are capable of doing. Of course they aren't alone in the market with both Windows Mobile devices and Blackberries all competing to be the one you carry in your pocket.

Everything’s Amazing and Nobody’s Happy!

Do you ever stop for a moment to think about how amazing it is that technology has advanced as far as it has? I mean, it wasn't that long ago that a cell phone was something that only few were able to take advantage of.
