I have always found him to be intriguing when he talked, and I&#039;ll miss watching his keynotes. I just can&#039;t believe that it&#039;s come to the point where he&#039;s starting to back away from the company now. I don&#039;t know if that will help him or not.</description>

I do respect Bill Gates for all he has done for the IT industry through Microsoft.  What I don&#039;t like about him is the rude and arrogant way in which he treated other people and companies.

The way Bill Gates and Microsoft behaved with the monopoly of Windows/Internet Explorer was improper.  He lost his Windows monopoly fight in Europe and now is being more respectful to the open source moment in general and his business competitors.

IMHO, Microsoft will have a tough time ahead fighting:  Linux, Google, Amazon and Apple.  Basing his company&#039;s cash flow on desktop applications is a risky business.  His company will certainly be navigating in choppy waters during the next decade.

Just my 2 cents on the subject.
