Okay, so it seems as though I have spent a lot of my day wasting away trying to run my own McDonald’s. If you’re into simulation games, even slightly, then I am sure that you will find this as amusing and entertaining as I have.

First off, I want to say that I found this game via Kongregate.com, which I found out about from pdedecker in the forum and my friend Mike introduced me to this McDonald’s game. The website is a great source of chatting and playing games, but you will have to register if you want to take advantage of doing any of that.

Okay, now onto the game! The McDonald’s game is one of the most entertaining Flash simulation games that I have ever played. Basically, you have to raise the cows that produce the meat to make the hamburgers that you sell to your customers. Oh yeah, and let’s not forget to mention that you can bribe the nutritionist and create advertising campaigns to help things go more smoothly.

McDonald's Game

Why would have to do some bribing? Because it will help prevent any unexpected penalties throughout the game. There are a lot of things that can really bust the bank on you, like selling meat from diseased cows or having the obesity association come after you. I’ve seen the fines range all the way up to $8,000!

If that wasn’t enough to keep track of, you’ll also need to keep your employees happy because without them you’re nothin’! Some employees will just never seem satisfied, and when that occurs you’ll have to let them go and hire someone else who will get the job done with a smile!

There is a tutorial available so that you can see everything that needs to be done first, but it’s always more fun to just jump in and get playing, right? That’s what I did and I’m finally starting to do halfway decent. It was difficult to find the right combination of advertising, crops/cattle, and employee happiness to make it through. Give it a shot and let us know how high of a score you get!

After a little while it does start to get a little boring because it is repetitive. It would have been really cool if the game let you create a McDonald’s franchise and run multiple restaurants. It is sure to give you a kick for a few hours though.

Technically this is the URL that you need to play the game. Using that you’ll have to register with Kongregate. However, I scrounged up the direct link to the game which is better since you can play it at fullscreen.

  1. I learned my lesson playing RollerCoaster Tycoon. I wasted to much of my life playing that game. It was fun but I didn’t get anything done for over a week!

  2. Sounds exciting, I’m not a great fan of online games, but this one sounds addictive.

  3. Hey, thanks for the link to the game on Kongregate – glad you like the site. I totally agree that having to register is a pain. The reason for it is that we are still in our alpha phase – until very recently you actually had to have an invitation to even join Kongregate. We’re very close to really launching the site, and we’ll be dropping the login requirement to play a game next week if all goes well. You’ll be able to play all the games without signing up, and read chat, comments, etc.

I hope your readers will try out our site rather than just play the game fullscreen – it’s a good way to find a lot of other games they’ll like. My favorites are [kongregate.com] [kongregate.com] [kongregate.com] (great puzzle game), and [kongregate.com] (platformer with great physics and animation).

I think it would also be beneficial to let users play games in a fullscreen mode because that is something I always love to do. I don’t like to see other distractions around me while I’m trying to focus on a game. :)

  5. what website can i play it on
