Each day Amazon has a new Deal of the Day, but today’s deal is an extra good deal if you’re in the market for a new cell phone and you’re already an AT&T subscriber or you plan to switch to them. For one day only, any AT&T phone that you purchase (except for the iPhone) is at the most, a penny. Many of the phones offer rebates so with some of them, you can even get as much as over $100 back. What a deal, huh?

Before any of you get ideas of buying phones to then turn around and sell on eBay for a profit, just note that you have to purchase a new 2-year service plan (if you’re a new customer) or extend an existing line of service. Additionally, part of the deal involves a “conditional $250 discount” from Amazon. You’d be required to pay that $250 back if you sold the phone because the line of service has to be connected and in good standing for at least six months.

Here are some of the best deals we found where you actually make money on purchasing a phone:

There’s a whole page of phones that you can browse through, and again, as we mentioned, the most you’ll pay is a penny. What a deal, huh? Remember that this is just a Deal of the Day so come tomorrow, phones will return to their normal prices.

Oh, and here are Amazon’s terms and conditions that you’ll want to take a look at:

The Price listed above for this phone includes an instant $250 discount from Amazon.com. You agree to repay this $250 discount to Amazon.com if, during the six-month period following the activation date or renewal date of your existing contract, you: (1) fail to pay your balance due each month on time; (2) fail to maintain your account in good standing; (3) disconnect the line of service; (4) transfer the phone to another line of service; (5) change your service rate plan, including canceling or removing required PDA, BlackBerry, or smartphone features after your product has shipped; or (6) use this line of service to replace an existing account with the carrier. The discount is available only if you are activating a new non-substitute line of service or extending an existing line of service. If you do not follow these rules, you authorize Amazon.com to charge your credit card $250 as reimbursement of the discount without need for further approval. Third-party resellers are prohibited from purchasing cell phones on behalf of customers. **Purchase limit five (5) cell phones per household.**
