I’m actually surprised that there haven’t been more companies trying to team up with Netflix to create a more convenient way to rent movies. Especially since Blockbuster now has the “in-store” rentals as well as the online ones.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that Tivo and Netflix couldn’t work something out.

I’m not about to ditch Netflix rentals for a “buy as I go” plan from Amazon but I do love the delivery mechanism.

For Netflix and other rental chains the writing is on the wall; Evolve or die. Using the internet to delivery movies is the way of the future. Apple and Amazon are leading the way and if history is any indication of the future, the early bird gets the worm. In this case, first to market gets the cash.

Thanks for the update Kimberly. This is still a pretty new concept so they are sure to have kinks to work out. From the sounds of it they are definitely getting there.

You can purchase new items from your TV, but if you want to download something you have already purchased you have to use a computer to access your media library.

I e-mailed Amazon to make sure I wasn’t missing something – and they replied very quickly. They said that accessing your media library via the TV/TIVO was not available yet. It is something they are working on according to the e-mail.

I love the service and it just keeps getting better.
