Haven't gotten a virus with it yet. The Active Virus Shield didn't come with anti spyware protection like McAfee does. I got spyware using it. I first had Norton, but it slows your computer tremendously, so I stopped using it. Panda anti virus sucks! Cyber Defender sucks too! So then it said that AOL McAfee was the new thing. It took 22 hours to download with dial up, but it was worth. When I got high speed, I downloaded it to my mother's computer too, less than 15 minutes. And no, it doesn't take up lots of space as once believed. Yes, Kaspersky has the highest detection rate, but AOL McAfee is one of the best, Automatic updates, file protection, Internet protection, firewall, and email protection. It even has a worldwide Hacker watch! It even has IM protection. And it renews subscription automatically, for free! :) AOL McAfee is the best! Haven’t gotten a virus with it yet. I prefer Comodo lately and set it to the Custom level of protection; it seems like a more professional, up-to-date, comprehensive program than Sygate's. @netster0007x
