The sad thing is that they already have the code for it. Other programs have much better integrated searching. For example, in Visual Studio the search dialog will reposition itself if it's hiding the search term.</blockquote></div>
I think Microsoft's Internet Explorer team is really being held back, and I'm not sure if they don't have the funding to create the team that's needed or if their team just doesn't work well together. I think there's something behind the scenes that we don't see that's causing them to struggle with getting releases out that blow other browsers away. Microsoft surely has the funding and should dive head first into making Internet Explorer the best browser...it's hard for me to say that but they are one of the few companies that could afford to develop an unrivaled browser.

That's actually funny you mention the find feature in Internet Explorer 7. You would have thought that Microsoft would have redone the search feature in Internet Explorer so that it absolutely would blow your socks off...why? Because searching is the main focus of Windows Vista! ;)

This just goes to show how dedicated the Mozilla team is to making every part of the browsing experience better. The "status quo" just isn't good enough.

To contrast with Microsoft, they release IE 7 that still has the same crappy "find" feature that hides the very word you were searching for.
