More and more these days, there's a push to "go green" and part of that effort is reducing the amount of paper that we consume. Many companies over the last several years have been trying to go paperless wherever possible. One such example is cell phone companies who offer their subscribers the option to sign-up for paperless billing.

We always find it interesting when someone mentions in a comment how long they've been reading CyberNet. Our curiosity led us to start a new poll asking that very question. Before we get into that, we thought now would be a good time to share some of our stats after 2 years and 3 months (CyberNet launched in December, 2005):
Back when the iPhone first launched, there were many people who wanted to get one but had to decide whether it was worth it or not to be locked into a required 2-year contract with AT&T. As it turns out, a good chunk of people must have felt it was in fact worth it, given how well the iPhone has done so far.
It's time to wrap up our last poll which received nearly 800 votes. It turns out that 48% of you like to use a mouse pad, 42% don't use one, and 10% sometimes use one. I haven't used a mouse pad in a long time, and I thought that they were starting to be phased out. It used to be that every time you purchased a new computer it would come with a mouse pad, but I haven't seen that for awhile.

According to a recent article from the Associated Press, more than 25% of young adults use only a cell phone for voice communication. The ever increasing trend is that cell phones are in, and landline phones are out because people don’t see it necessary to have both.
The government of India just announced plans of offering all citizens free high-speed broadband Internet by 2009– just two years away, with speeds around 2 Mb/s. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?
