Comments on: Comodo Registry Cleaner

Comodo has been fine, but I’ve begun to notice desktop files being gone after I run it and reboot. Then last night my son ran it before going to bed, and today the bcmwltry.exe error keeps coming up on his comnputer. I think Comodo has some problems currently.

Just ran Comodo reg cleaner for the first time on XP PC and pretty much wrecked my system. Caution in use recommended

used comodo reg cleaner then later ran disk cleanup which after an age (when it usually takes seconds)totally wiped out all my programs and i had to do a f11 system recovery

I like it very much. It’s thorough and caused no problems for my system – keeps it clean and responsive. Replaced an old favorite, jv16 Power Tools, because it started to delete registry entries related to Norton Internet Security, rendering it inoperable after reboot. Comodo leaves them alone. I still have CCleaner for quick work but my in-depth go-to option is Comodo. Their free stuff puts a lot of paid software to shame.

This is part of the Comodo System Cleaner [system-cleaner.comodo.com] which is also free. The only problem had is Comodo Registry Cleaner did get a little confused cleaning some ActiveX errors. RegScrub XP was able to clean them properly (residual junk from Copernic’s Agent and Desktop Search.) I like those 2 with Crap Cleaner. Stopped using Wise, Desktop Maestro, RegSeeker and others which take too darn long. Wise is a real dog. My guess is it doesn’t cache the registry well, if at all.

Tried it after first running CCleaner and Glary Utilities and it found lots of entries which I deleted. However, soon after was going to do a defrag. Error message – no defragmenter installed. The registry entry had been wiped. Restored the backup and everything was ok again. I then tried Revo Uninstaller
