Meshal, unless I misunderstand you, you can already do this in Firefox by middle-clicking on a folder of bookmarks. If I did misunderstand, perhaps a better explanation would get you pointed to what you want.

what I want from firefox is an adds-on let deal with favorites like IE7 and IE8.

Yeah I wasn’t even aware that there were so many possible keyboard shortcuts available in Firefox. This plugin is a great help!

Sheesh, I must live under a rock. I’ve never used keyboard shortcuts in Firefox. This has motivated me to look into it. Seems like this plugin makes it pretty easy.
