Microsoft added a lot of great features in Windows 7 that makes managing your windows a lot easier, such as Aero Snap and Aero Shake. For some users, however, these features may actually become even more useful if they are tweaked just a little bit. AquaSnap is a free program that adds a new twist to the way some of those things work:
- AquaSnap – Provides a more detailed version of Aero Snap where windows can also be snapped to a quarter section of the screen rather than just to the left/right half of the screen.
- AquaStretch – Double-click on the edge of a window to stretch it to the respective edge of the screen. For example, double-clicking on the top edge of a window will resize it so that it goes all the way to the top of the screen.
- AquaShake – This is a replacement for Aero Shake, which instead of hiding background windows will instead pin the currently selected window on top of all others.
- AquaGlass – Makes windows transparent while they are being dragged around on the screen.
The app uses less than 2MB of memory while running and also comes in a portable flavor, which means it’s extremely easy for you to test out for yourself. Definitely a must-have in my book.
