For those people that have upgraded/downloaded the new Opera 9 then we wanted to let you know that there is a CyberNet Widget available. The widget has been downloaded almost 500 times already and continues to be downloaded more and more each day.
The widget will show you a snippet of each one of our articles that we post. While viewing the widget you can select to “Read More” and you will be directed to the page that contains the article. Please let us know if you have any other suggestions that you would like to see in the widget.
I have a suggestion, could you add ‘picture support’. I know a lot of these posts have an image, so could you make it so we see the image in the widget?
Why don’t you just do RSS like a normal person. And I see you have a feed….does Opera not have built-in functionality?
Max: Picture support would be a little more difficult because some of the images that I use on the site are large. This would mean I would need to figure out a way to compress the images for the feed so that it doesn’t take up all of the widget space.
natmaster: The RSS feed is available and yes, Opera does have a built-in RSS feed reader. I am offering the widget because some users find it more graphically appealing and enjoy using widgets.
