I’m still waiting for someone to release a tabbed version of Explorer. All the major browsers have adopted this now and why M$ didn’t put it in Vista I’ll never know.

I have two licenses for Dialog Box Assistant: [win-utilities.com] I tried Direct Folders and quite a few others (using the list on DonationCoder: [donationcoder.com]), but I couldn’t find a better one. The problem with DBA is that development and support has (invisibly) stopped since the mother company has been taken over (years ago) and that there is no Vista-compatible version. I still hope to find a better one, actively developed and supported.

My current favorite is FlashFolder: [zett42.de] . I tried FileBox eXtender, but it caused a few programs to malfunction (e.g. with FileBox eXtender running I could not open any property page in Communicator 2007). Direct Folders seems like a good option, but it’s free only for home use.
