They are much more subtle and I've actually found myself leaving the sounds enabled instead of disabling them. This is a first for any version of Windows for me. It is nice that they allow you to disable them, however. I guess if you were constantly logging on/off, it would be nice to get rid of the chimes... Also, you might want to check your math.
