There’s a SUPER HANDY gadget, “SwiftRun”, for Widows Sidebar, that consists in a black box in which you enter simple shorcuts to launch apps and do many things more. You define shortcuts name: i.e: “op” launches Opera, ff firefox, ie I:E, oow OpenOffice writer, g garmin nuvi will launch a google search for “garmin nuvi” in default browser, etc, etc…Off course the names are up to you.
I’ve got it since a year now. It’s incredibly handy as it can also support your usb devices as soon as they’re connected.
It supports parameters and so on…
It’s difficult for me to say how valuable this miniapp is.

To lose the security warning, right click wizmo.exe, select properties then click unblock on the properties page.

I’m not sure why you’re getting a security warning because I wasn’t when I tested this on XP SP3. As far as the sound goes it can be suppressed using the “quiet” parameter as outlined on the Wizmo page.

I can't believe I missed that parameter. I guess I was looking over the page too much. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure why you're getting a security warning because I wasn't when I tested this on XP SP3. As far as the sound goes it can be suppressed using the "quiet" parameter as outlined on the Wizmo page.

I wish it didn’t have to make that sound every time it is executed. Also, I put it on my Desktop and every time I ran it, I got an “Open File – Security Warning” box (I am running Windows XP SP3).
