Yikes! Can't say that I've ever had more than a handful of torrents at any one given time.

I’ve already had around 5+ crashes since I installed it and tried it out about 30 hours ago.

But to be fair Deluge did make this explicit warning upon downloading the Windows version:

“Please note that the Windows version of Deluge is quite a bit less stable than our Linux/Unix client, as Deluge is developed on Linux. Actually, it is probably safe to say that everything is less stable on Windows, not just Deluge :-p”</blockquote></div>
At least they warn you that it's not as stable on Windows. But I'm surprised they didn't just take the same route that Transmission did and only make a Linux/Mac version.

Just over the other day I decided to try out Deluge, b/c I was looking for a good alternative to the now bloated Azureus client.

I'm trying it out on Windows for now, until I build a linux machine later this summer. Overall, I'm very pleased with Deluge as a bittorrent client. It provides everything a hardcore bittorrent user could need in my opinion. Most importantly the security features; encryption and the ability to import IP blocklists from services like PeerGuardian.

The only problems I've come by thus far:

*There's no notification when you select a download location on a partition that doesn't have enough free space for the download. Instead the torrent will simply seem stuck trying to connect.
*I wish their was some grouping or tagging feature, which allows you to categorize your torrents (so that you could group torrents by the type of content or site they came from for example). This is useful when you have hundreds of torrents in your client at once.
*I wish they had aggregate statistics that told you how much you've downloaded, uploaded and how long the client has been running both for the session and cumulatively since the app was installed.

Beyond that, the only other complaint I have is that the Windows port of Deluge is incredibly buggy and crashes often. I've already had around 5+ crashes since I installed it and tried it out about 30 hours ago.

Awesome find! I searched high and low for BitTorrent applications that worked on all three platforms, but I never saw that one. It looks pretty nice.

I do like Transmission, but didn't include it since there was no Windows version. It is kinda funny that there isn't a Windows version, but there is a Linux and Mac version.
