I am currently using version 2.0.2 due to an issue I've had with both 1.x and 2.0.4 (haven't tried 2.0.3). Often after typing a word or domain into the location bar and pressing enter, the favicon will spin as if it is performing a search yet nothing will happen. If I press any other key, such as space bar, the website will quickly load. I'm guessing it has something to do with "You can now leave the domain prefix field blank if you don’t want to use a prefix on domain searches.".

The problem is solved in 2.0.3. Thanks!
There's one new small problem, though: When I type characters too fast, the results of old keywords will appear. New results will show after 2 seconds.
Also, “Reset Default Settings” still doesn't work.

I experienced the same problem. A temporary workaround:
1. Enter "about:config" in location bar.
2. Search for all entries started with "extensions.cybersearch", reset all of them.
3. Restart Firefox.
You can also remove the entries in "prefs.js".
It appears CyberSearch 2.0.2 does not handle upgrading from 1.x properly.

I cannot save anything, I try to add a keyword then click save, nothing happens and I can't click ok as nothing happens too. I went to reset to get default settings, I click on the reset bar, and nothing happens, and also can't click ok here too.

I used to use the old version of CyberSearch extension (1.0.7) a lot. However, after updating CyberSearch to 2.0.2, I found plenty of problems. The extension is almost completely not working, I should say.
1. When I updated it to 2.0.2, I found all keywords for the old version were lost. Moreover, a lot of settings stop working, and I cannot add any new keywords. I manually reseted all preferences about CyberSearch in about:config to solve the problem.
2. "Reset Default Settings" does not work.
3. Rarely can I see the list of search results when I typed a keyword and search query in location bar. I can see from Live HTTP Header that the requests are sent to Google and Bing. However the result list simply almost never appears.
I use Firefox 3.5.4 on Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic). I've tried creating a new profile, but it does not work, either. Hopefully I won't be told this extension is not compatible with Linux. I'm really really disappointed with new version, to say.

Any chance of CyberSearch getting search suggestions or it integrating better with this feature from the Peers extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6589)?

Are you still taking ideas for updates? It's a great extension btw, and i use it all the time.
Requests:
(a) can we put keywords anywhere in the string? Eg: sometimes i'm typing something into the bar and i forget to start with "g" for google, so i just get lots of history results. It's be nice to just add "g" at that point and turn it into a search. Right now i have to go back to the beginning of the string and add it.
(ps/ i have the show only results when a keyword is recognised option ticked. )

(b) (and this is maybe impossible, but..) Would it be possible to do something like insert the search string url into the history of the opened links? eg: sometimes I search for something and the link looks good, but when i open it it's rubbish. then i have to type the whole string again, and i kinda wish i'd just opened the google results page. If i could just click "back" and go back to that results page it'd be great.
(alternatively, being able to press a hotkey to repeat the last search would be ok. )

(c) (probably tricky). is there a chance of implementing yahoo searches too? they have a good api right? Recently their search engine seems to have improved a lot.

Bugs:
When scrolling through a list of results, sometimes the list goes screwy and jumps to one of the results.. so you can't scroll past it. it seems to be mostly pdfs.

<div class="commentquote"><a href="#comment-146195" rel="nofollow">Martin wrote:</a><blockquote>I found a small problem with the Domain Search function. If the search results contain an address with a space in it, it is impossible to scroll past that search result using the arrow keys. For example, typing “http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ 2405? in the address field gets among other hits the following: “http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/downloads/GM1601 2405.pdf”. Note the space in the address. When trying to scroll past this hit, CyberSearch sees the space and treats the above address as a new domain search, and the previous results disappears.</blockquote></div>
That is definitely a problem, but not one I can address without scrapping the feature all together. If you find this being more annoying than helpful you can just disable it in the settings.
