I'm one of the creators of this program. Thank you for the review. We've been quite busy, and have released another program called VistaGlazz. We are looking into an update to PixelCryptor

Encrypting a file, but you don’t enter a password? What if someone intercepts and knows you use this program?

Seems useless.</blockquote></div>
Many people think that it's just another program to encode data into an image. This program encode a set of files using an image. The result is an encoded package, which can only be decoded with the same image. It's like using an image as a password.

Encoding a file into a picture is always super obvious to me, and to anyone that knows something about computers. If you see a picture that is 500x500px and the image size is 10MB then you know there is something inside of it. Then anyone can decode it...and it's technically not encrypted, just hidden.

But yes, if you did lose the original picture then that would be a problem, but it wouldn't be any different than losing a password or encryption key.

This sounds cool. I've never actually needed to encrypt something to send to someone, seeing as email is fine for small files and if it's anything larger it's probably a project that can be shared through the Uni network. But should I ever need to encrypt something this seems suitably space-age to impress people at the same time as sending a secure file.
