Million Dollar Monday

There’s been a lot of hype to say the least with the recently released PS3, and the Nintendo Wii. Some people waited for days upon the release of the PS3 only to come out empty handed. eBay auctions were at soaring prices, and so those unwilling to pay an arm and a leg for one of those systems is left to wait it out! For you, here is an alternative: The Dream Arcades 100-inch Home Video Arcade Center!

I could sit and play Super Mario Brothers anyday over Halo or other such games. I’ve always loved the old classic games like Asteroids, Paperboy, and PAC-MAN, and now here’s your chance to play those games on the big screen. It uses a 100 inch portable projection screen with a removable control panel.  While a projection screen isn’t anywhere near LCD quality, I imagine it’s fun nonetheless.  Additional features:

  • 2 player control panel with 6 buttons per player, 2 pairs of side pinball buttons and additional utility buttons
  • Integrated spinner with fire button
  • 3 inch lighted trackball
  • Light gun
  • Authentic arcade controls
  • Wireless audio and video
  • Includes programmable Ultimarc interface card
  • USES PC w/ AMD Athlon 64 3200 + CPU

The best part would be  all of the games that it comes with including 60 different Atari 2600 games (for all of you Atari fans out there). Oh, and the price for all of this? Only $4,499 (plus shipping and handling :) ), and it will ship in 4-5 weeks.

So, if you’re bummed about not getting your PS3 (yet) you might want to consider an investment in the Dream Arcades 100-inch Home Video Arcade Center so you can play PAC-MAN on a super-sized screen ;) .

  1. Oh man Atari 2600! Now that (along with Pac Man & Asterodies) brings back memories! I even had paperboy, but I think that was on the Commodore 64. Thanks for the great trip down Memory Lane! :P

  2. Now this is something I would buy! I had an Atari 2600 with 70 games. Had all the consoles through N64. Now I just have an Xbox 360 that I have not played in about 4 months.

Now, I just need to find $5000!

  3. I wish I knew how many games we had with the Atari 2600. We had a really nice case that the console sat on top and could store controls, cartridges, etc below and even had a dust cover. We ended up selling everything to a friend of mine back in ’94 for about $50. Another one of those what the h*ll was I thinking!

Just look under your seat cushion…there should be at least that much there. :D

That is when the “cooler” game systems were coming out and you thought that you would never want to play those old things. Then years later when video game systems cost more than PC’s we still want our old Atari.

I still have a Dreamcast with every Nintendo game on one CD. I can’t remember how it works because I use my modded Xbox to play the Nintendo games now but I think Dreamcast ran Windows CE or something, so there was an emulator CD that I stuck in and it just worked. On my modded Xbox I have Atari, Nintendo, SNES, N64, and Playstation One games. Gotta love “homebrew backwards compatibility”.

  5. And they say the PS3 is expensive  …then again, it doesn’t come with a 100″ TV :| . The only thing that could make this better is input ports so you can use your new consoles along with the old! That, Nintendo games, and the ability to expand the library would make this a steal :D .
