Gasoline prices are soaring everywhere. It’s absolutely getting out of control. In Panama, many transportation companies are unable to pay these high prices and shutting down the service. Thousands of passengers are stranded.

In Europe they are paying $11.00 to $13.00 a gallon for gasoline. I just don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. Do you?

I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel either. What is interesting is that oil companies are posting record profits while some people can't afford to keep enough gas in the car to get to work. Something just doesn't seem right with that.
Jason S wrote:
I use My Mile Marker (www.mymilemarker.com) for this same service. It allows you to enter all your information via a mobile website which I prefer to twitter. It will keep track of your MPG overtime and even estimate total fuel costs and miles driven for a future period you set. It has a very polished web 2.0 look and works well for me!

Thanks for the suggestion, David! I just checked it out and I do think I like the interface with mymilemarker better- looks great!

I use http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ to keep track of my fuel economy. You can share your data with other users. My '03 Camry SE averages 21 MPG.

Up until 2 months ago we used the cheapest gas we could find, then one day we needed to fill up and our station was having 'pump issues' and we could only get premium (which they gave us at regular price). At first I thought it was just wishful thinking on our part that the car was running better and our mileage had improved. The fact of the matter is that the car does indeed run MUCH better and our mileage has gone up by 4 mpg! So for an average of $2 a tank more, we have gained a great deal. We have a 2000 Dodge Stratus with just over 100K miles on it. Previously got 27mpg and now get 31 to nearly 32mpg wooo hoooo!
