What I actually think I want to look for is an extension to popup with the destination URL when I hover over the link as well. It would be a lot like Opera, and I want that so that I can ditch the Status Bar.

Try using fission. It shows you the link your mouse is over in the url bar. But you have to set it to do that. It also puts the progress in the url bar so you can disable the status bar

Thanks a ton Chad! I think I might have to give Greasemonkey another try if only for that feature. :)

Ryan maybe you should consider installing greasemonkey at least to 'test for usefulness'. It's definitely a keeper!!

Sometimes it's triggered even when I'm typing in a text box. Yeah, I have that happen as well but never thought to open the Find box and then close it. I always restarted the browser but I could see how that would work...you could always disable the quick find and then use the specific keyboard shortcuts mentioned in the article.

It changes the cursor to indicate the target of a link (by adding a small icon to mouse cursor). Personally I can't live without this extension. :)

For a good collection of CSS styles for Stylish (including those mentioned above) check out http://userstyles.org/

They have styles divided by:

1) a search engine
2) "site" styles for individual sites
3) "app" styles for firefox tweaks

- New Windows
- Secure Sites
- Email Links
- JavaScript
- Images
- RSS Feeds
- AIM Links

Now I haven't look at Firefox statusbar every time when I want to click a link.
