It cost 5000.00 plus tax here in Canada and it was for work because I was on the road and needed to be available for my clients. I did have to pay for it myself - no company perk! I now teach to college and university students and bring it to class once a semester to show during one of my classes. They weren't even born when this came out in the 80's!
